Entre 5 e 11 de outubro a empresa listada na Nasdaq adquiriu 250 BTC (US$21,5 mi) e recomprou US$192,4 mi em STRC. Movimento integra estratégia de alocação entre caixa e acumulação de bitcoin.
Strategy Smash has intensified its bitcoin accumulation, buying $21.5 million in BTC between October 5 and October 11 and continuing a recent cadence of weekly purchases. The Nasdaq-listed company reported that the $21.5 million acquisition accounted for 250 bitcoins, according to a filing made public on Monday.
Alongside the bitcoin purchase, the company disclosed that it repurchased $192.4 million of its STRC preferred stock over the same period. Those moves were presented as part of a broader capital allocation approach that blends balance-sheet management with continued accumulation of bitcoin.
Strategy has acquired 250 $BTC and repurchased $192M of $STRC. As of 10/11/26, we hold 848,250 BTC and $5.5B of USD Assets. $MSTR — Michael Saylor (@saylor) October 12, 2026
As reported in the filing, Strategy now holds 848,250 bitcoins, a holding that the company valued at about $70.2 billion at today’s prices. The company’s Nasdaq-listed stock was trading nearly 2% higher on Monday, reflecting market moves around the disclosure.
The filing also explained the source of funds used for last week’s bitcoin purchases: net proceeds from sales of MSTR stock together with the company’s USD Cash buffer. Strategy maintains two distinct cash reserves: a USD Reserve, earmarked to support dividend payments on preferred stock and interest on outstanding indebtedness, and USD Cash, which it deploys to acquire bitcoin.
Strategy originally began buying bitcoin in 2020 as a hedge against inflation and has since shifted toward an explicit role as a bitcoin treasury. The company has spent the past four weeks buying bitcoins after a period with more sporadic purchases and intervals in which it paused acquisitions to build larger cash buffers.
Product development is also central to the company’s strategy: it is focusing on offerings that pay investors yield through preferred share structures, including STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD. Those instruments are part of a capital-return and yield-generation effort that runs alongside the firm’s core bitcoin accumulation.
Performance context included in the disclosure noted that the company’s Nasdaq-listed stock had fallen more than 50% over the past year amid declines in the price of bitcoin, while the firm’s shift into bitcoin beginning in August 2020 corresponded with an appreciation in its share price of nearly 1,000% since that time. The filing and disclosures present a combined picture of active treasury management, preferred-stock repurchases and renewed weekly accumulation of bitcoin.
